SecuriGroup Systems Retains Security Installation Company of the Year Title at 2026 FSM Awards

SecuriGroup Systems has been named Security Installation Company of the Year at the 2026 Fire & Security Matters (FSM) Awards, marking a second consecutive year of success for the security technology specialist. 

The award recognises excellence in the design, installation and maintenance of security systems, celebrating organisations that demonstrate innovation, technical expertise and exceptional client outcomes across the industry. 


Presented at the FSM Awards ceremony on 2nd July 2026, the accolade reflects another year of delivering complex, high-value projects that have enhanced security, improved operational efficiency and generated significant savings for clients across a range of sectors. 


Delivering Measurable Results 


Over the past year, the team has completed a series of major security technology projects, demonstrating its ability to overcome complex challenges and engineer solutions tailored to each client's needs. 


One of the standout projects involved a national CCTV consolidation programme across a 23-property portfolio. Following a comprehensive review of existing infrastructure, the team replaced disparate legacy systems with more than 1,350 intelligent IP cameras, creating a unified platform capable of advanced analytics, remote health monitoring and virtual patrols. 


The project delivered substantial operational benefits, including: 


annual savings of more than £600,000 

over 30,000 guarding hours removed through improved efficiencies 

a reduction of more than 75,000 vehicle patrol miles. 

Innovation also played a key role in a major deployment at a 2.3 million sq. ft. business park. Faced with ageing infrastructure and limited cabling capabilities, engineers designed and installed a fully wireless IP network featuring more than 160 camera positions and eight solar-powered PTZ cameras. 


The solution eliminated the need for extensive civil engineering works while generating approximately £200,000 in annual efficiencies. 


 
Solving Complex Challenges 

The award submission highlighted SecuriGroup Systems’ ability to overcome significant technical and operational obstacles while maintaining live site operations. 


At Bradford College, poor low-light performance from existing CCTV infrastructure posed a challenge to overnight security monitoring. Working closely with stakeholders, the team implemented a DarkFighter platform that improved image clarity by four times, enabling more effective analytics and investigations while reducing overnight guarding requirements. The project is expected to deliver more than £445,000 in savings over three years. 


Meanwhile, a nationwide systems upgrade for Malcolm Group addressed longstanding bandwidth and performance issues across multiple sites. By designing a solution independent from the client's IT infrastructure and installing more than 500 intelligent IP cameras alongside dedicated broadband connections, the project enhanced reliability, improved visibility and strengthened protection across the organisation's estate.

More men than women work in security. Why do you think that is? The security industry is sometimes perceived to be a predominantly male-housed sector. I think that this may deter some strong female candidates from seeking employment with security companies. However, my experience at SecuriGroup has shown there are many great opportunities available to advance and progress your career. How does SecuriGroup support its diverse teams and how do they attract new entrants to the industry? Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion is a key focus area for us at SecuriGroup. We have a diverse working group, led by our executive team, and our Chair, Baroness Ruth Henig, carries out one-to-one mentoring sessions with many female team members to develop their leadership skills. There may be a gender bias within other companies, but the majority of SecuriGroup's crucial head office departments are under the strategic direction of female leaders. Organisations must ensure that they keep attracting and retaining talented women. SecuriGroup is actively encouraging women to join the business in a lot of traditional and innovative ways. What are the benefits of a job in security for women? Personally, I have been shown great support by my colleagues at SecuriGroup and my four years with the company has been amazing. I have been encouraged to use my voice and do feel empowered to speak up, which has worked wonders for my personal and professional development. No two days are ever the same.
